HIC’s RUBY gateway provides a full range of services and unprecedented integration to deliver higher broadband access and residential triple-play services such as VoIP, data transfer, live & on-demand high quality HD video, and real-time media streaming.  HIC RUBY’s concurrent 802.11n wireless connectivity operates at 2.4GHz over 802.11 b/g/n and its MiMo 2x2 configuration allows for transfer speeds of up to 300 Mbps.


HIC’s RUBY gateway’s modular architecture contains Gigabit Ethernet Switching with integrated Ethernet and diverse RGMII connections, flexible expansion, and is backwards compatible with VDSL2 connectivity for different types of users.


Composed of four (4) GE LAN ports and one (1) GE WAN port, the HIC RUBY integrates G.993.5 Vectoring technologies which interact with other vectoring-enabled equipment to mitigate undesirable crosstalk interferences and improve bandwidth across infrastructures.




Wireless “cold spots” in the SmartHome are a major source of discomfort and frustration for subscribers.  HIC’s RUBY residential gateway can reduce “cold spots” with the use of the 802.11 b/g/n 2x2 MiMo wireless technology to provide wireless coverage for all reachable devices in the SmartHome and it’s fully designed as a single unified platform to provide end-customer subscribers a variety of services (voice, video and data).

Broadband subscribers require dependable, swift, and high-performance connectivity.  The HIC RUBY provides 2.4 GHz 802.11n and a 400MHz dual-core MIPS CPU with packet and QoS offload.





HIC RUBY gateway’s wired connectivity is provided by Gigabit Ethernet, while also presenting a multi-mode xDSL transceiver with smooth recovery supporting 5-band channel bonding ADSL2+/VDSL2 technology which allows rate and reach increase in current broadband infrastructures.





HIC RUBY’s simple gateway and application management system can be paired up with any TR-069-compliant remote management auto-configuration server.  Its user-friendly management interface provides leading tools to easily inspect network configurations, identify connectivity and service related issues as well as providing remote configuration capabilities.  Hence, service providers can smoothly mitigate operational expenses, reduce TTM for leading-edge services and increase customer satisfaction.
